Biochemistry & Immunology Section

The Biochemistry & Immunology Section performs an extensive range of routine and specialized chemistry tests on various body fluids. With a fully automated setup, the lab efficiently handles high testing volumes. All procedures are closely monitored and quality-controlled to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Equipment & Technology

The lab employs sophisticated equipment, including:

  • Dirui CS 600 and Dirui CS 300
  • Easylyte Plus electrolyte analyzer
  • Compact immune-analyzer
  • Hitachi photometer
  • Cobas e-411 (used for hormone and tumor marker analysis)

All equipment is integrated with the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to reduce errors and improve turnaround times. Daily quality checks are conducted using lyophilized control materials.

  • The lab strictly implements Quality Control and Quality Assurance protocols and actively participates in External Quality Assurance Programs with RCPA in Australia and PPTC in New Zealand, ensuring accurate and dependable test results.
  • Same-Day Reporting: Most blood test results are available on the same day.
  • Tumor Marker Results: Typically require additional processing time and are released on a subsequent date.
