The X-Ray Unit at JDWNRH has a long-standing history, beginning in 1965 with a single Philips X-ray machine. Today, it operates as a modern facility equipped with three Siemens conventional X-ray machines (100mA, 300mA, and 800mA with fluoroscopy), a digital X-ray machine added in 2008 through the SAARC Telemedicine Project, and mobile and portable X-ray machines on every floor for ward and ICU patients. The unit serves around 80–100 patients daily, managing both routine and emergency cases.
General radiography is available for walk-in and outpatient department (OPD) patients, as well as warded patients. This includes X-rays for various body parts, with multiple views as needed, such as:
